Fergie might not get Benzema but will get bidding war with his own son!

Real Madrid are now favourites to sign Benzema because they offered £28 million for him last night. But Ferguson is ready to offer £30 million.

However Ferguson is trying to sign 17 year old Stockport defender Josh Thompson who has just completed a week’s trial at Manchester United. Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson (Sir Alex Fergusons' son) is also hoping to sign Thompson with the promise of regular Championship football.

However, Sir Alex Ferguson is offering £250,000 rising to possibly £500,000 for the 17 year old defender.
