I wouldn't say they were lucky. They played very well on an artificial pitch in Russia without some of their big names. That move when Valencia hit the bar was incredible.

Well I suppose I can't call Man United lucky because I haven't watched the game, and as you said they played well. :) But it does always seem like man u get a lot of last minutes goals, Owens against City in 'fergie time' being one of them :P

did you see the pitch though it's looks awful to play on it's like astroturf with little balck pellets which I know from experience are horrible for grip :) still we played well and had some half decent chances :P
